Junior Faculty Appointment in Korean Studies

Stanford University seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in the social sciences at the junior professorial rank, whose teaching and research are focused on contemporary Korea. All applicants in the social sciences and history with expertise in Korea will be considered. The position will be jointly held in the School of Humanities and Sciences and in the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, with a possible start date of September 1, 2010.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership for further development of the study of Korea at Stanford University. Applications should include a CV, writing sample of approximately 25 pages, and full dossier including at least three letters of reference, and be submitted to Belinda Byrne, Associate Director, Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies no later than by November 30, 2009
